Making Compression Work for People with Lipoedema: Workshop
V&A Dundee
6 February 2026, 10am – 5pm
Join us at V&A Dundee for a free, practical one-day workshop focused on making compression work better for people living with lipoedema. This event is designed primarily for people with lipoedema, with the morning session also suitable for healthcare professionals who prescribe compression garments.
The day brings together lived experience, product expertise, and hands-on support to explore what works, what doesn’t, and how compression can be used more effectively and sustainably.
The morning session (10am – 12.15pm) focuses on using compression to manage lipoedema symptoms, with talks from Medi, Lipoelastic, and Haddenham, alongside insights from lived-experience research.
The afternoon session (1pm – 5pm) is a practical and participatory programme, including a compression swap-shop, a discussion on compression re-use, and support with repairing and extending the life of compression garments.
You are welcome to attend for the full day, or just the morning or afternoon. Soup and sandwiches will be provided for those attending all day.
Places are limited. To secure your place, please RSVP by 28 January stating your preferred attendance option by emailing L.m.macintyre@hw.ac.uk.
The workshop is free to attend. If you are not already a member, please consider making a donation to Talk Lipoedema.
