Supporting a green and just transition for NHS Scotland

Reusable Theatre Caps Hot Off the Press

It was great to have our Reusable Theatre Cap project featured in so many news outlets, in print and online, over the winter break. The project has been featured in over 150 news and specialist outlets, and the stories all communicate the exciting developments in this project as we move from early stage prototypes towards trials with practitioners in medical settings. Big thanks to the press team at Heriot Watt University  for telling this compelling story of reusable and biodegradable fabrics, design-insights and health sector co-design. You can see this work, and over 15 other projects that are part of the Design HOPES family, in our current work-in-progress exhibition at the University of Strathclyde on until 13th June 2025.

A collaborative project, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, as part of the Future Observatory programme, and led by the University of Strathclyde and University of Dundee (DJCAD), with Heriot-Watt University, Abertay University, and the University of Edinburgh, NHS Scotland, industry partners, and public sector stakeholders.
