The Design HOPES Work-in-Progress exhibition which ran from late 2024 to early 2025 at the V&A Dundee received over 50,000 visitors, and showcased 17 projects happening as part of the Design HOPES Green Transition Ecosystem Hub programme, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, through the Future Observatory.

Visitors were able to explore the range of design-led research activities taking part through this collaborative project, and find out about the networks and partnerships Design HOPES is supporting and building, looking at ways in which design and research can support the green transition goals of NHS Scotland.

The exhibition will now move to the Technology and Innovation Centre at the University of Strathclyde, where it can be viewed up until 13th June 2025. We’re excited to also be returning to the V&A in September 2025, with an updated display and deeper dive in to the work, themes and emergent insights of Design HOPES.

A collaborative project, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, as part of the Future Observatory programme, and led by the University of Strathclyde and University of Dundee (DJCAD), with Heriot-Watt University, Abertay University, and the University of Edinburgh, NHS Scotland, industry partners, and public sector stakeholders.
