Supporting a green and just transition for NHS Scotland

Design HOPES Design Challenge – supporting new ideas for healthier people and planet

James Weir Building, University of Strathclyde
20–21 May

Strathclyde students and recent graduates (within the last year) are invited to take part in the Design HOPES Design Challenge for a chance to receive up to £10,000 in funding to support a design idea—whether a product, service, system, space, or intervention—that contributes to reshaping NHS Scotland’s approach to health and sustainability.

This initiative is part of the Design HOPES Green Transition Ecosystem (GTE) Hub, a research project exploring how design-led thinking can help meet urgent Net Zero goals in health and social care.

A collaborative project, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, as part of the Future Observatory programme, and led by the University of Strathclyde and University of Dundee (DJCAD), with Heriot-Watt University, Abertay University, and the University of Edinburgh, NHS Scotland, industry partners, and public sector stakeholders.
