Supporting a green and just transition for NHS Scotland

Design Sprint 1 ‘Explore’

Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD), University of Dundee
11 - 12 December 2023

This first sprint of four is grounded in the Design Council’s Systemic Framework and focused on the theme of Explore – to study deeply and widely what is happening and actively draw in perspectives that are different from ours, including those which have historically been marginalised.

It offered Design HOPES Co-Is a focused co-working opportunity to engage in an in-depth exploration of the Thematic projects. During this sprint, we developed project action plans, developed a more comprehensive timeline, explored project impact and dissemination, and investigated opportunities for cross-thematic collaboration.

Design HOPES is a collaborative design-led research initiative, comprising five Scottish Universities (University of Strathclyde, University of Dundee, Heriot Watt University, Abertay University, and the University of Edinburgh), NHS Scotland, the third sector, and design organisations.

This project is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) as part of the Future Observatory GTE Hub Programme at the Design Museum.
