Grace McElroy

Impact Assistant Phase 2

Grace McElroy is an Impact Assistant currently in her final year of MSci Product Design and Innovation at the University of Strathclyde. With a strong interest in human and user centred design, she specialises in designing for health and wellbeing, creating products that encourage culture and behaviour changes.

Within Design HOPES, she has been focused on the Pharmaceutical Waste project, “Tablet Over Liquid”, creating a children’s activity booklet to make learning to swallow tablets more approachable for families, while keeping the experience fun and interactive for children.

Design HOPES is a collaborative design-led research initiative, comprising five Scottish Universities (University of Strathclyde, University of Dundee, Heriot Watt University, Abertay University, and the University of Edinburgh), NHS Scotland, the third sector, and design organisations.

This project is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) as part of the Future Observatory GTE Hub Programme at the Design Museum [grant number AH/Y00373X/1].
