Supporting a green and just transition for NHS Scotland

Dr. James Dixon

(he/him) Lecturer in Transport, University of Strathclyde
Co-Investigator

James’s research interests are in transport-energy-environment modelling to support policymaking for sustainable transport transitions in low- and middle-income countries, and in advancing e-mobility and renewable energy integration in different global contexts. A chartered engineer, he has also worked as a Civil Servant for UK and Scottish Governments, as an engineer in aerospace (Rolls-Royce) and nuclear fusion (UK Atomic Energy Authority).

Design HOPES is a collaborative design-led research initiative, comprising five Scottish Universities (University of Strathclyde, University of Dundee, Heriot Watt University, Abertay University, and the University of Edinburgh), NHS Scotland, the third sector, and design organisations.

This project is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) as part of the Future Observatory GTE Hub Programme at the Design Museum.
