Dr. Lisa Macintyre

(she/her) Associate Professor of Textiles, Heriot-Watt University

Lisa Macintyre is Associate Professor of Textile Technology at Heriot-Watt University. Her work on medical compression has improved production efficiency, reducing wastage and ‘re-makes’ for pressure garment companies; and improved garment care advice given to patients resulting in more consistent and longer-lasting treatment for patients. Her other work specifically focusses on reducing the environmental impact of textiles and fashion.
