Lipoedema is a painful, chronic condition associated with ‘heavy legs’ that are disproportionately larger than the upper body.

Housing is increasingly recognised as a critical social determinant of health, yet healthcare systems often lack structured tools to identify and address the risks found in home environments.

The paper presents a series of eight projects at the intersections of design, health and wellbeing, and complex net zero challenges, with an emphasis on inclusive, equitable, and sustainable design-led interventions.
